Art Prize Winners 2023

We are pleased to announce the winners of this year’s Mull Highland Games Art Prize!

The 2-dimensional prize was won by Sarah Darling for her photographic piece ‘Hidden’.

The 3-dimensional prize was won by Ian McMillan for his rope sculpture ‘Knot for Nothing’. You can also see more about Ian’s work on this youtube video:

Five of the 2-dimensional works have also been selected by the judges for entry to the Highland Art Prize details of which can be found here.

Thank you very much for everyone’s submissions. They were fantastic. You can see all the entries from this year here. The art works are being displayed in the Western Isles Hotel until the 28th July so we strongly encourage you to pay a visit to see them in all their glory!

The art prize has been running since 2021. Its aim is to give artists connected with Mull the opportunity to exhibit on the island and through our connection with the Highland Art Prize (Duais Ealain na Gàidhealtachd) the opportunity to be part of a national exhibition which is held in conjunction with the Royal National Mòd each year.
